Meet this year's Community Executives!

United Way's Community Executive Program  
About the Program The Community Executive (CE) Program (formerly Loaned Executive Program) is a unique professional and personal development partnership.  CE's are employees of local organizations who are 'loaned' for two-three months (12 weeks) to serve alongside United Way staff and to support the work of the organization throughout the community.  The program connects community-minded employers to their own towns and cities by sharing their resources and expertise with a goal of improving the community for everyone.

Community Executives receive comprehensive training and have opportunities to interact with community leaders and decision makers.  Training will enhance their presentation, sales, leadership, planning and organizational skills; in addition, they will develop a greater knowledge of community needs and the challenges of meeting those needs, and develop lasting professional and personal relationships.
Who are Community Executives?

CEs are top-notch employees or retirees of community minded organizations, who have the determination and desire to polish skills necessary for success.  They are community ambassadors for their employers and for United Way, sharing in our goals of creating lasting change in our community.  CEs are:  self-motivated, positive and team-oriented, effective communicators, flexible, results and customer oriented, well-organized, leaders among peers, self-confident and professional.

What do Community Executives do?

CEs may assist with the annual workplace campaign, or in other ways, depending on their skills, talents, and specialized knowledge.  For example, employees with experience in fundraising, events management, database administration, marketing, information technology or community relations can use those skills to help create lasting change in people's lives.
